The Raspberry Pi M.2 SSD Kit for Raspberry Pi 5 is the official storage expansion solution that enables your Raspberry Pi 5 to boot and run directly from a high-speed NVMe SSD. The kit combines the Raspberry Pi M.2 HAT+ with an official PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSD, delivering significantly faster boot times, application launches and file transfers than traditional microSD cards.
Designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi 5 PCIe interface, the M.2 HAT+ supports 2230 M.2 NVMe SSDs (and the standard HAT+ also supports 2242 devices). The kit includes the required PCIe ribbon cable, 16mm stacking header, spacers and mounting screws, allowing installation alongside the Raspberry Pi Active Cooler.
It is ideal for Home Assistant servers, NAS systems, Docker containers, AI edge computing, media centers, software development and industrial applications where high storage performance and reliability are essential.
