Product Description
The XL4015 5A 75W DC-DC Adjustable Step-Down Buck Converter Module is a reliable and efficient voltage regulator designed for applications requiring accurate DC power conversion. Built around the XL4015 switching regulator IC, this module efficiently converts a higher DC input voltage into a stable and adjustable lower output voltage while maintaining excellent efficiency and output stability.
The module supports both Constant Voltage (CV) and Constant Current (CC) modes, allowing users to precisely adjust output voltage and current according to the application. This makes it suitable for charging lithium-ion, LiFePO₄ and lead-acid batteries, driving high-power LEDs, building laboratory power supplies and powering embedded electronics.
A built-in 3-digit LED digital voltmeter enables real-time monitoring of the input or output voltage without requiring an external multimeter during normal operation. Independent multi-turn potentiometers provide smooth and accurate voltage and current adjustment, while screw terminals simplify wiring and installation.
With high conversion efficiency, compact PCB design and reliable thermal performance, the XL4015 module is widely used by engineers, students, hobbyists and industrial users for battery charging systems, solar projects, automotive electronics, robotics, CNC machines and industrial automation.

Important Notes
- This module is a Step-Down (Buck) Converter; the input voltage must always be higher than the desired output voltage.
- Verify the output voltage before connecting sensitive electronic devices.
- For continuous operation above 4.5A, additional cooling is recommended.
- Always observe correct input and output polarity.
- Do not exceed the module's maximum voltage, current or power ratings.
Setup & Digital Voltmeter Calibration Guide
Output Voltage Adjustment
- Connect the input power supply.
- Measure the output voltage using a digital multimeter.
- Rotate the CV potentiometer clockwise to increase the output voltage.
- Rotate it counter-clockwise to decrease the output voltage.
- Set the desired voltage before connecting the load.
Current Limit Adjustment
- Connect a suitable load.
- Turn the CC potentiometer fully counter-clockwise.
- Slowly rotate clockwise until the required current limit is reached.
Digital Voltmeter Calibration
- Display OUT voltage and press the right button for about 2 seconds until the display flashes.
- Press the right button to increase the displayed value or the left button to decrease it.
- Compare the reading with a calibrated digital multimeter and adjust until both values match.
- Hold the right button again for 2 seconds to save the calibration.
- Repeat the same process while displaying IN voltage if input voltage calibration is required.
- All calibration settings are automatically saved even after power is disconnected.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Is this a buck converter?
Yes. The XL4015 is a DC-DC Step-Down (Buck) Converter that reduces a higher DC input voltage to a lower adjustable output voltage.
Can I adjust both voltage and current?
Yes. Separate multi-turn potentiometers allow independent adjustment of output voltage (CV) and current limit (CC).
Can I use this module for charging lithium batteries?
Yes. When configured with the correct charging voltage and current, it is suitable for charging lithium-ion, LiFePO₄ and lead-acid batteries.
What does the LED display show?
The built-in LED display can show either the input voltage or the output voltage, selectable using the onboard button.
Does this module require additional cooling?
For light and moderate loads, the onboard heatsink is generally sufficient. For continuous operation above 4.5A or near the maximum 75W rating, additional airflow or a cooling fan is recommended.
