How It Works
The module uses five infrared transmitter and receiver pairs to detect reflected infrared light from the surface below. White surfaces reflect more infrared light than black lines. Each sensor outputs a digital signal indicating whether it detects a light or dark surface. By reading all five outputs simultaneously, a microcontroller can determine the position of the line and adjust the robot's steering for accurate path following.
